These terms apply to all embroidery, printing (including vinyl printing), digitising and related services provided by No Rules Embroidery (“we”, “us”, “our”), Unit A6, Lower Road, Northfleet, Gravesend, Kent, DA11 9SN. By placing an order with us or supplying garments or items to us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, and get in touch if you have any questions before placing your order.
1. Garments and items you supply
- When you supply your own garments or items for embroidery or printing, you do so at your own risk.
- Embroidery and printing involve needles, heat and pressure. Some garments and fabrics can pucker, stretch, mark, scorch or be damaged even when the work is carried out correctly. This is more likely with thin, delicate, stretchy, knitted, waterproof, coated or technical fabrics, poor-quality garments, and areas close to seams, zips, buttons or pockets.
- We take reasonable care with every item, but we do not accept responsibility for damage caused by the nature, condition or quality of the garment or fabric, or by hidden defects in it.
- We do not refund or pay for the cost of garments or items that you supply. If we are at fault for an order, our liability is limited to the price you paid us for the embroidery or printing on the affected items. We cannot accept responsibility for the sentimental value of any item.
- We strongly recommend supplying a spare garment, especially for one-off, expensive or irreplaceable items.
- Please make sure items are clean and in good condition, and tell us about the fabric content and any care instructions before we start.
2. Embroidery and print quality
- Our embroidery is produced on computerised commercial embroidery machines. Once your design has been digitised and the garment is loaded, the machine stitches the design. The finished result depends mainly on the garment, the fabric and the design itself, rather than on anything we can adjust by hand during stitching.
- The quality of the result depends on many factors, especially the type of garment and the type of fabric: its weight, stretch and texture (for example fleece, towelling, knitwear or piqué), how the garment is made, and the size and level of detail in the design. Very small text and very fine detail may not reproduce exactly.
- The same design can look slightly different on different garments or fabrics. Small variations in size, placement and appearance are normal and are not a fault.
- Puckering, stitch texture or other effects caused by the type of garment or fabric are not damage, and are not a fault in our work. Not liking the look of embroidery or print that has been produced as ordered is not grounds for a refund or for compensation for the garment.
- We match thread and print colours as closely as possible, but colours may differ slightly from how they appear on screen or from Pantone references.
- If you are unsure whether a garment or fabric is suitable, please ask us before ordering. We are always happy to advise.
3. Proofs and approval
Where we send you a proof or mock-up, please check the spelling, wording, sizes, colours and placement carefully. Once you approve it, we will produce your order as approved, and we are not responsible for errors contained in an approved proof.
4. Completed work cannot be changed
- Once embroidery or printing has been completed, it cannot be changed, altered or removed. Removing stitching or print will usually damage the garment.
- Any changes you request after the work has been completed will be treated as a new order and charged accordingly.
- Because orders are personalised and made to your specification, the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply once work on your order has started.
5. Artwork, logos and designs
By sending us a logo, design, text or image, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and you are responsible for any copyright or trade mark issues arising from its use. We may refuse any work that we believe infringes someone else’s rights or is offensive.
6. If something goes wrong
Please check your order as soon as you receive or collect it, and let us know about any problem within 7 days. If we have made a mistake, for example the wrong text, colour or position compared with your approved proof, we will put it right by either redoing the work on a replacement item that you supply, or refunding the price you paid us for the affected embroidery or printing. We do not refund the cost of garments or items you supplied.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
